The facial rash/ pimpers of my 8 weeks old baby is getting worse. What is your experience?

The pimpers started around 2-3 weeks ago, It seems getting better somedays, not much, and the new ones came and went. Till this morning, it's getting worse, with more red blotches and pimpers over her face and some on her neck and scalp. I know facial rash/ pimpers is normal for an infant. But i didn't expect if would come on and off and be as much as what she has developed today. Please share your experience. How soon would it be completely cleared away. Thanks.The facial rash/ pimpers of my 8 weeks old baby is getting worse. What is your experience?
I've seen it take up to six months to clear up totally. It looks UGLY, but it's not harmful or uncomfortable for your baby in any way. I once saw one poor lil' pumpkin with it from the middle of her chest, up over the top of her head, and halfway down her back. You'd never know it by the time she was 3 months old.

Keep it clean, keep it dry, don't put anything on it like lotions or creams - that could make it worse. If you ignore it long enough, it'll go away.The facial rash/ pimpers of my 8 weeks old baby is getting worse. What is your experience?
I had my children so long ago I don't recall when all the redness and rash went away. But it is natural and I wouldn't be too alarmed at this time. You might wait another 2 or 3 weeks and check with your pediatrician if it persists.
Sounds like your little one might have infantile eczema. It's pretty common but unfortunately it's not just something that goes away. Eczema is not a real health risk to your child but more of a discomfort. It can become itchy and inflamed making her want to scratch her skin. If she scratches she could develop an open sore and get infection and that would be your main health concern. Typically a child will get eczema if the parents suffer from allergies, asthma, eczema, or sensitive skin. Babies can also develop it if they switch from breast to formula feeding. In most cases it will just go away by the time the child is 2-3.

Some things you can do would be;

Oatmeal bathes to help her keep from itching.

Lukewarm water, hot warm can iratate the skin more.

Dye free, perfume free, hypoallergenic products like All Free and Clear, Bounce Free and Clear dryer sheets, and Oxy Clean Free and Clear. Make sure all her baby soaps and lotions are made for sensitive skin. Aveeno Baby has actual eczema lotion and baby wash.

Keep her lotioned well so her little skin doesn't get dry which makes it worse.

Try to keep her as cool as comfortable for her. Heat will just make it worse!

Good luck and all the best!
